A Busy Monday

Yesterday was probably the busiest Monday I've had so far with regards to the studies. 

I went to the campus in the morning to have a tutorial which was very good and made me feel a lot better about my current position in and understanding of the course. Then I stayed on for a yoga and meditation class which was lovely and very relaxing. When I got home I tried to complete a lot of the edits we had spoken about in the tutorial and also spent a bit more time focusing on the artefact, which really needs to be my main focus for the next few weeks. And finally, I was actually able to join the online class in the evening! It felt so good to be a part of the lesson and watch it unfold in real time. It also felt like a really good class anyway, giving us a sense of what we needed to prepare for the Literature Review. I was very relieved to hear it only had to be about 3-4 minutes long... I wasn't feeling too confident about doing a 10-15 minute piece on it! That being said, I may feel differently about the time limit once I actually look into the literature and resources more... 

I now have a few more days off before going back to my full-time job so am planning to make the most of it by adding final details to my essay and creating a very solid plan for my artefact, as well as starting to find some literature for Module 2. 

Overall, I'm feeling really good!

I've Been Busy

Hello again!  It's been quite a while since I've blogged - I got totally swept with Module 2 and then Module 3.  I struggled getting through Module 2 and felt I didn't really get the support I needed for it, but I was still able to get a reasonable mark so I'm very relieved about that.  Module 3 is my favourite at the moment. I'm loving having more time dedicated to researching my specific topic(s), even though there's not that much out there. Earlier this week I (finally) got approval from the Ethics Committee to carry out my own research so that was very exciting. I can't say I was thrilled about how delayed it was - I was hoping to have completed my research by now, not have not started it yet - but so it goes. Now that I'm finally starting to get responses from the general public I'm getting even more excited (and a bit nervous) about my essay.  I can't believe we've only got about 6 weeks left (maybe 7?), it really has flown by!  Hopeful...

Getting There

It's been a bit busy and I definitely, like so many others, felt that increased tension as we were getting closer to the deadline and I was still waiting to collect results and write the second half of my essay (as well as getting started on my artefact).  Now, with less than two weeks to go, I'm feeling a lot better. I've completed my first full draft and sent it off for my tutor to have a look at and I've even completed a full draft of my artefact. I have no idea if I'm on the right track with either but will hopefully find out more tomorrow during my tutorial and then (hopefully) still have enough time to fix everything.  When graduation tickets became available, I did not feel like I was ready to purchase them as I genuinely did not feel I would necessarily have everything done on time. I'm not feeling a lot better about it and even if something happens that now prevents me from working anymore on anything, at least I'll have something to present. (Hopef...

First Class of 2024

So, we are back from the break!  I managed to get a lot done over the holiday period, mostly researching my topic and finding areas I want to focus on. I still feel like I've got a long way to go but overall feel good about it all.  Yesterday's class was really useful for me, it was so interesting to hear everyone's topics and approaches and to be able to bounce off each other. I do wish we had all shown our PowerPoints because I keep changing mine and I can't decide which setup is best. I am still not home until next week, but once I get back I hope to book in a tutorial and actually go through my entire presentation in depth. I think my MORE form is ready to be sent off but I do want to go through everything one more time on my own before submitting it next Monday.  That's all from me for now.
