Feeling Good

It seems a big shift has happened in the last week to 10 days... I finally feel like I have a sense of what's happening and what I'm meant to be doing!

It's very strange doing this course, having had such minimal interaction with my classmates and teachers and not really knowing if I'm on the right track. I'm looking forward to being able to join the classes (if everything goes to plan) in the next two or so weeks and I'm very much looking forward to handing in my draft essay and receiving feedback. I have spent the last week writing and researching and I'm really hoping it's all been going in the right direction. Submitting the draft essay and then receiving feedback will (hopefully) give me much more of a sense of what I'm doing and if it's alright.

I feel so much more on top of it now, I've become more focused and prioritised the learning, researching, and writing more than I was before (which is entirely my own fault). I've also been quite lucky that it has got a bit quieter at work which has allowed me to dedicate extra time to this.

We'll see how I feel after next week, if I'm still as enthusiastic or if I've done it all wrong, but for now I'm feeling good! :)

  1. Hi Raquel. I definitely agree that the nature of this course if different to what I'm used to in terms of it being online but I feel I have now settled into this new way of learning and teaching. I too struggled not knowing if the work I was completing was along the right lines but after a tutorial with my supervisor I learnt that I need to believe in myself that I'm on the right path and although my ideas may differ to others that doesn't mean mine are wrong as our practices are so unique to us. I hope that you are feeling more confident in the the direction you have taken your essay and your enthusiasm has stayed!

    1. Aw thank you so much! I'm glad to hear I'm not totally alone. I do feel more confident with it now and finally feel like I'm really finding my feet which is nice! x
